Congratulations to Robin Zagalsky of
Annapolis, MD (Pictured below). Ms. Zagalsky was fishing aboard Captain
Jeffrey Ruth's charterboat "Ellen R" out of Kentmoor Marina on Kent
Island on July 11th when she caught a 2012 Diamond Jim tagged striped bass.
She was fishing with her family, which included her husband Jason, her two
children and her parents.

They proceeded to travel a short
distance to an area north of Bloody Point Light known as the Gum Thickets.
They were live lining when they caught their one and only legal size striped
bass, with a green Diamond Jim tag #05213. When the fish was caught, Ms.
Zagalsky's husband Jason spotted the tag and the Captain indicated it could
be a prize winning tag and not to remove it. A DNR biologist inspected the
fish on July 12th. The fish measured 21 inches and matches up with the fish
tagged by DNR biologists on May 24th. Ms. Zagalsky passed a polygraph, and
her fish has been certified as an imposter Diamond Jim worth a minimum of
$500, and if the real Diamond Jim is not caught, she would split the $25,000
top prize with any other anglers who caught certified imposter Diamond Jim
tagged fish. This is the 4th Diamond Jim tagged striped bass in the 2012
Maryland Fishing Challenge.
Congratulations Robin!!
